Team ZED wins 4TU Impact Challenge

A team of TU Delft students has won this year’s second edition of the 4TU Impact Challenge. With their win, team ZED (Zero Energy Development) secured a spot at the World Expo in Dubai which is being held from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022.

The 4TU Impact Challenge gathers the eight best ideas from Dutch Technical Universities. On behalf of TU Delft, project ZED and project Respire participated in the finals.

Project Zed designs batteryless applications for a broad range of companies, which will reduce the 35 million batteries that are in use currently. Hereby, they improve sustainability, and working circumstances.

Project Respire developed a miniature air quality sensor that measures particulate matter, nitrogen oxide, carbon monoxide and ozone.
