These are the winners of the Owee contest

As you may have noticed, Delta has a new website and a new newsletter as well! At the OWee, Delta asked participants to subscribe for the newsletter and win a Waka-Waka. These are the winners.

Wendy and Willem-Jelle get a Waka-Waka from Saskia Bonger, editor-in-chief of Delta.

Wendy is 25 years old and this is her first year in her Architecture master. “I did the OWee with a group of other Master students”, she says. “That way, I learned about the city and about the student fraternities. I’m now a member of SoSalsa.” And, of course, we want to know what she thinks of Delta. “It’s nice to know what is happening around campus”.

The other winner is Willem-Jelle, third years’ Civil Engineering. “During the infomarket, I worked at STUD. We gave out sunglasses and were standing close to the Delta stand. I know Delta from the magazine. Then a friend said I had to subscribe for the newsletter.  I said, ‘only if I win that Waka-Waka!’, and look, I won!”

The Waka-Waka is a solar powered charger, for charging your smartphone but also offers a light that can shine for hours.  Waka-Waka means ‘bright light’ in Swahili. With the ‘Buy One, Give One’-business model, Waka-Waka helps with making solar power available for people living without access to electricity. Read more about it on their website.

We have one last Waka-Waka. Want to win this one? Subscribe to our newsletter via delta@tudelft.nl before 9 October and stay tuned with Delta!
