New In Delft? If you’re living, shopping and eating out here, it’s a good idea to get a grasp on some basic Dutch.

At the university, Dutch is taught using the Delftse Methode. During the beginners’ course students learn about 1,200 of the most common words in five (intensive) or seven weeks (not intensive). Below, some commonly used phrases:
