Stratos II launch ended in misfire

The Stratos II launch by the TU Delft DARE student rocket team ended in a misfire on Thursday October 15, 2015. The failed launch took place at 16:25 approximately.

After count down, some smoke appeared under the Stratos II rocket, but no lift-off occurred. Misfire was concluded shortly after. Flight control said that there had been a blow down of the NO2 oxidiser, but that no ignition had taken place.

The count down was witnessed live by 2500 viewers on the video stream

The rocket does not seem to have been damaged. A crew approached the rocket after the scene had been declared safe to inspect the rocket.

The launch has been rescheduled for Friday October 16th at 16:00 hours.
