The official festival season may be over, but there’s one last chance to pogo, head bang and lie in the mud. The Herfstpop (Fall Pop) festival will be held this Saturday on football fields in Rijswijk, about a ten-minute bike-ride from Delft. The festival is free festival and Dutch bands Replay, Cool Down Café, Four Strings and dj Cor will perform. The festival starts at 19.00 on ‘De Strijp’ sports field, Schaapweg, Rijswijk.

The University of Utrecht (UU) has broken its bond with student club Veritas after complaints about the freshman’s ragging. Veritas will be no longer officially invited to academic meetings such as the opening of the academic year, is left out of the UU’s website and loses its 59.000 euro per year funding. Veritas regrets what has happened and is discussing how to compensate for the loss of funding.
