Tijdens de Discovery08 manifestatie werd een digitale manier van daten geïntroduceerd. Het werkt met een zogenaamde QR-code, een tweedimensionale barcode.

De QR-code Dating Service introduceerde een nieuwe manier van daten: bedenk een spetterende openingszin, laat deze coderen, plak een sticker met de QR-code op je schouder en wacht tot een geïnteresseerde met behulp van zijn of haar mobieltje jouw boodschap ontcijfert.
