Yes!Delft students celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week

Entrepreneurially-minded TU Delft students are organizing a series of events to celebrate GlobaL Entrepreneurship Week.

According to their website, “Global Entrepreneurship Week is the world’s largest celebration of the innovators and job creators who launch startups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare.” Founded in 2007 by the not-for-profit Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, it is now present in 77 countries. In 2013, it is celebrated from November 18 - 20.

Yes!Delft Students is hosting a series of events throughout the week to bring attention to entrepreneurship and, hopefully, inspire students to become entrepreneurs. Activities include a  Sparring Dinner, during which students can submit their proposals for companies which will be presented to a group of experts for feedback, and a Do-It! Game, during which students will compete to see who can create the most successful start up.

YES!Delft Students is the student organization of Yes!Delft, a business incubator supported by the Delft municipal government at TU Delft. Yes!Delft helps entrepreneurs and companies take their business concept and turn it into a successful company. They offer financial support, coaching and access to their facilities, including office space.

YES!Delft Students “encourages and supports motivated students from the Delft University of Technology and surroundings who wish to expand their horizons in the dynamic field of entrepreneurship,” according to their website.

The organization hosts other events throughout the year and will be heading to London in a few weeks to experience entrepreneurship there. They also organize tours of the Yes!Delft facility and networking events for student entrepreneurs.
