Diana Garcia Cejudo (33, from Queretado, Mexico) has lived in Delft for nearly six years. She is a PhD student at the faculty of Architecture, specializing in urbanism and environmental design. She hopes to complete her studies next September and then happily return home to Mexico, where she says there is an incredible amount of work to be done. She received this shawl from her mother, as a gift when she received her Master’s degree. Her mother has long felt that Diana dresses too much like an ‘architect’. This colorful shawl contrasts nicely with all her dark-colored clothes. The design is by a group of female designers who draw their inspiration from Mexican folklore.
